Job Summary

Harney District Hospital is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Medical Staff Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time position working 40-hours per week.

The Executive Assistant to the CEO and CMO/Medical Staff Coordinator provides high-level administrative operational and credentialing support to the Chief Executive Officer Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff leadership of a rural critical access hospital. This dual-role position serves as a central liaison between the CEO CMO Medical Staff leadership team providers and community stakeholders.

This role is responsible for executive support and medical staff services including credentialing privileging provider onboarding and compliance with accreditation standards.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Advanced knowledge of modern secretarial and general office principles practices and methods English spelling composition punctuation and grammar. Knowledge of business and/or legal formats recordkeeping systems word processing and spreadsheet applications software (specifically MS Word EXCEL MS Publisher and PowerPoint). Equivalent to a high school education plus additional secretarial training and over three (3) years experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Certifications in medical staff credentialing and medical services administration desirable.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous healthcare experience in provider enrollment and credentialing. Post-secondary education in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. Strong organizational skills confidentiality adaptability and the ability to manage diverse priorities in a fast-paced environment.
