Job Summary
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant & Mail Room Support position. This position will support General Operations with administrative support functions. Work with managers in Fiscal Services Information Services People Operations Civil Rights and Audit Services. Responsible for the daily operations of a highvolume mail center servicing a large fourfloor building with approximately 800 employees. Ensures accurate timely and secure handling of all incoming outgoing and interoffice mail and packages. Responsible for hands-on mail processing recordkeeping customer service and coordination with various carriers. This position reports to the General Operations Manager and does not supervise others.

Required Education and Experience:
1 year of experience in mail room support office support or as an administrative assistant.
This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Frequent walking bending and lifting packages from 5 to 25 pounds.
Other Information
