Job Summary

Notice: This positionrequires aSecret Security Clearance.

Salary requirements: $95000


Summary/Objective:

The purpose of this position is to supportF/EXs Administrative Services Division (F/EX/ASD) providing support for the full range of Administrative Specialist functions including receiving reviewing and processing requests for travel supplies equipment furniture and office services as assigned for the entire bureau.

Job Duties(including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for directing implementing coordinating a variety of management programs impactingthe Bureau
  • Plans and conducts special studies personally or through team members provides advice tomanagers of headquarters functions and develops and evaluates policies in assigned areas ofresponsibility
  • Plans conducts or participates in special studies as part of teams or task forces and providesassistance to headquarters domestic organizations outside Washington DC
  • Interprets government-wide legislation and regulations as well as Departmental policiesaffecting areas of responsibility and assesses their impact on Bureau program activities takes orrecommends actions to achieve organizational objectives and recommends future program objectivesand improvements
  • Responsible for providing oversight and coordinating the identification analysis and issuanceof policies with managers and top level officials of the Bureau
  • Serves as the focal point for issues affecting and impacting Bureau missions and functions.
  • Determines the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation executive ordersdepartmental directives and other agency decisions on Bureau operations managerial programs andrequirements
  • Assist in developing detailed reports and processes related to planning tracking andevaluating progress in accomplishing program goals and objectives
  • Plans develops and coordinates planning management through briefings presentations andconferences for executive management
  • Ensures that accurate appropriately concise and timely information is available to executivemanagement
  • Assist with the review of all submissions for substance conformance with instructionscompleteness and authorizations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Mastery of advanced management and organizational skills including the application of a widerange of qualitative and quantitative methods in order to develop processes and measurableindicators for maintaining improving and assessing program effectiveness
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Bureaus and the Departments structure missions functions andoperations to coordinate extensive studies related to assessing and improving the Bureaus programplanning budgeting contracting evaluation or other activities related to accomplishing itsmission
  • Ability to communicate orally to conduct fact finding interviews meet and deal with managementofficials and present recommendations to management
  • Ability to communicate in writing to develop policy guidance instructions and reports of findings and recommendations


- Work Hours are Monday-Friday (8a-5pm)
- Work location is at a federal site in Washington DC.
- No Travel will be required.

Travel:
It is anticipated that domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel will be on an as needed basis and must be authorized and coordinated in advance.

Training:
This position will be expected to complete training relevant to the job duties.
