Job Description

To perform complexsecretarial office administration and public relations assignments; performrelated work.

The successful candidate willprovide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the department faculty staff and is a half-time (0.5 FTE) position with theoptionto be based at either the Pocatello or Meridian campus of Idaho State University.

This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Department Operations
- Coordinate calendars meetings travel communicationsreports and strategic initiatives while managing sensitive informationprioritizing operational needs and ensuring continuity of office operations.
- Monitor office supplies equipment and facility needs.
- Support strategicinitiatives.
- Assist with faculty promotion and tenure documentation.
- Onboardingof new hires faculty GTAs and CPI. Attend departmental meetings.

Operational Management
- Plan and coordinate departmental events and specialprojects.
- Maintain department websites shared drives and electronic filingsystems.
- Maintain confidentiality for students personnel and departmentalrecords in accordance with university policies.

Faculty and Student Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students facultystaff and external stakeholders.
- Support course scheduling classroomreservations and academic and professional program logistics.
- Assist withstudent services such as advising support.
- Foster a welcoming professionaland student-centered environment.

Financial Purchasing and Resource Coordination
- Support financial and operational activities includingbudget tracking purchasing travel coordination reimbursements contractsand resource management in accordance with institutional policies andprocedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MinimumQualifications

Goodknowledge of:
-Office support functions including word processing filing composing a variety of business documents and reception.
-Researching compiling and summarizing data for reports.

Experience:
-Interpreting applying and explaining complex information such as regulations policies or services.
-Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting.
-Coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements.

SpecialtyItems-Somepositions at ISU may require one or more of the following:

Some knowledge of:
-Financial record keeping.
-Supervisory practices.

Goodknowledge of:
-Legal terminology.
-Investigative procedures.

Experience:
-Public Relations.
-Using dictation/transcription equipment & taking minutes.


Additional Information

ISU minimum for this classification is $19.01/hour commensuratewith education and experience.
