Job Purpose: To be exposed to the worldwide administration of the Sony Music Publishing Pop Latin Hip-Hop and R&B catalogs. Administration of these catalogs includes processing song deliveries liaising with income sources song data maintenance and copyright registrations.

What Youll Do:

  • Shadow team members to learn about different roles in Copyright Administration and other music publishing administration roles and functions

  • Research prepare and file Copyright Registrations with the U.S. Copyright Office

  • Update records in SMPs database

  • Scan upload and index various documents into cloud-based document retention system

  • Assist team members with various tasks and projects

  • Participate in the inclusive employee culture at SMP

Who You Are:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university

  • An interest in Music Publishing Administration preferred

  • Passionate about the music and entertainment business and have a desire to build a career in the industry

  • You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious ask questions and get excited about new projects

  • Enthusiastic collaborator with a professional and positive attitude

  • An organized person that pays close attention to the details

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

DISCLAIMER:

The anticipated base hourly for this position is $18. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors which may include as applicable the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience specific and unique skills level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
