Admin Services Coordinator DeGowin Blood Center
Job Summary
The Department of Pathology is seeking an Administrative Services Coordinator in the DeGown Blood Center to provide administrative support to enable the DeGowin Blood Center (DBC) medical directors DBC management team members DBC Research Associate and DBC Quality Management (QM) staff to focus on their respective administrative patient care and technical oversight responsibilities. This position is 100% time 1st shift Monday-Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm.
Duties to include:
Perform routine ELMS transactions for assigned staff.
Develop and post staff schedules as assigned.
Run various reports conduct audits and summarize information for DBC physicians DBC management staff and DBC QM staff as requested.
Assist with strategic planning activities as directed
Retrieve data from various databases for reports specific to DeGowin Blood Center.
As directed coordinate publicize and document attendance of staff at staff development seminars staff meetings webinars and other staff education events.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
6 months to 1 year administrative office coordination or financial management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and service excellence skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience working in an academic health care center is highly desired.
Experience with University of Iowa policies and procedures.
