POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Instructor will provide lab and clinical instruction for the Practical Nursing program. Supervises students in the clinical setting which includes hospitals and physicians offices in the Statesboro area. Develops program and syllabi goals and objectives. Evaluates students progress in attaining goals objectives and course competencies. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registered nurse (RN) license by the Georgia State Board of Nursing and in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse.
- Must have a minimum of three years of full-time paid work experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing Obstetrical Pediatric office-based physician practice hospital nursing home mental health facility or public health agency.
- Must have a minimum of three years of licensed nursing practice within the preceding 7 years or direct teaching experience in a postsecondary nursing or related program.
- BLS for Healthcare providers (CPR & AED)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work experience in a teaching/learning environment is preferred
- Experience working in a hospital preferred
