Position Summary and Qualifications:

Saint Josephs Universitys Department of Management has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. We are looking for the support of highly qualified capable and experienced adjunct instructors. This positions are for in-person teaching at our main campus on Hawk Hill. The courses would be at the undergraduate level.


Saint Josephs University (SJU) offers a wide variety of bachelors masters doctoral associate and certifi cate programs. With a commitment to personalized attention through a low faculty to student ratio SJU may call on the expertise of adjunct instructors to complement the work of full-time faculty across all of its colleges and schools.

SJU appoints part-time non-tenure track adjunct instructors on a semester-to-semester basis with no guarantee of consecutive appointments. Re-appointment is based on university need student enrollment and satisfactory performance. Applicants for these positions are screened on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the department chair. Compensation for adjunct instructors is commensurate with educational credentials professional experience and instructional background. Adjunct instructors are bound to the terms and conditions of employment at Saint Josephs University including but not limited to the Faculty Handbook.   • Provide support and guidance to students

  • Instruct an assigned course providing syllabi and other instructional materials

  • Use of university learning management systems to deliver instruction

  • In addition to meeting all scheduled class session adjunct faculty are expected to offer one hour of office hours each week.

For the 2026-27 Academic Year we have specific needs in these areas:

  • Organizational Behavior/Human Resources

  • Business Ethics

  • Workplace Diversity

Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an as needed basis.

Again these would be in-person classes serving our undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration Human Resource Management Leadership Business Ethics or a closely related field.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • May require standing for long periods of time

  • May require talking for long periods of time

  • May require carrying course materials
