Job Summary
Fisher College a private four-year institution located in the Back Bay area of Boston is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach 01 section of Physics for the Life Sciences: Mechanics including a labfor the Fall 2026 semester. The course will run from August 31 2026 through December 18 2026. Instruction will be conducted in person during daytime hours The class times are Mondays and Fridays 12;45pm to 2:00 pm and the lab will be taught on Fridays 2:15 pm to 4:00 pm. Additional time commitments will include training course preparation grading and student communications.
- Topics covering Mechanics include motion force work equilibrium kinetics and waves. Biological context and examples will be provided for each physics concept. The principles of motion will be explored through laboratory experiments and demonstrations relating physics to everyday life. This course relies on algebraic and trigonometric concepts
- Design and deliver instructional activities that align with and support course outcomes.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through class participation assignments papers and exams.
- Maintains and submits student attendance records grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
Qualifications
Qualifications
- A minimum of a masters degree in Physicsor a related field is required.
- Previous experience in teaching college-level Science is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with WebAssign is desirable.
- Experience with Canvas is preferred.
- This position requires in-person teaching
