Job Description:

Atlanta Technical College is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor Phlebotomy (Part-Time) position in the Health and Public Safety Technologies Division. This position is located on Atlanta Techs Main Campus just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Under general supervision of the Dean ofHealth and Public Safety Technologies the Adjunct Instructor Phlebotomy (Part-Time) will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop essential Phlebotomist skills.This is part-time position up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited tothe following:

  • Teach and demonstrate Phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture capillary puncture specimen handling and infection control.
  • Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on lab instruction aligned with program curriculum.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams skills assessments and clinical supervision.
  • Provide feedback mentorship and guidelines to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance grades and student progress.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies HIPAA OSHA and program accreditation standards; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Certificate diploma degree in phlebotomy medical assisting or related health field
  • Two (2) or more years of directly related work experience
  • Prior teaching or training experience in phlebotomy or related subjects
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who in addition to meeting the minimum requirements possess and demonstrate the following:

  • Current phlebotomy certification (ASCP NHA NCCT or equivalent)
  • Three (3) or more years of recent phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience
  • Experience in a technical college setting is a plus
