Job Summary (Adjunct Faculty): Exempt Part-Time Bethel University is accepting applications for an Applied Piano/Keyboard Adjunct Faculty. This role will include private instruction of students as assigned as well as occasionally providing master classes/workshops. This role may also include accompaniment of music ensembles student lessons juries and recitals to be determined and compensated on a semester-by-semester basis.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach applied lessons in area of specialization
- Provide occasional master classes and/or piano workshops
- Provide piano/keyboard accompaniment for the music department
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Music Performance or equivalent in professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience teaching in public or private education
Performance Measurements:
- Prompt scheduling and reporting of grades to music department supervisor.
- Maintaining a collegial professional work environment and attitude when working with students faculty and staff.
- Yearly evaluations
Work normally involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discretion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (visitors or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. May be asked to do occasional lifting up to 25lbs.
