Job Summary:

The Midwifery Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Instructor. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach the following courses for the Fall Semester:
    • NRMW 5116 Advanced Pathophysiology & Primary Care
    • NRMW 5408 Advanced Comprehensive Health Assessment
  • Conduct curriculum development and dissemination.
  • Grade written assignment as well as both written and practical examinations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or higher in Midwifery Public Health or Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of classroom teaching experience.
  • 5 years full-scope clinical midwifery practice.

Work Schedule:

Variable Days; Variable Hours (Hourly/Part-Time)
