Adjunct Hiring Pool – Nursing BSN Program Clinical Faculty

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027.

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027 must reapply at that time.

Position Summary:

The UNC School of Nursing invites applications for part-time clinical instructor positions to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Part-time clinical nursing faculty primarily teach on-campus in clinical skills laboratories/simulations and at clinical agencies for specialty rotations. These positions are filled semester by semester based on the needs of different programs and different clinical specialty rotations. Applicants with an interest in teaching in any clinical specialty are welcome to apply. The part-time clinical instructor positions are highly flexible depending on the interest and experience of the applicant.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing and certification in clinical specialty
• Two years clinical RN experience
• Unencumbered CO RN license
• Completion of Urine Drug Screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Nursing

About the Department:

The School of Nursing offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our undergraduate programs include a traditional and second bachelors BSN program and a fully online RN-BSN completion program. At the graduate level we offer a fully online masters degree in leadership quality and safety and advanced practice clinical programs including a doctorate in nursing practice (FNP and post-Masters APRN options). We also offer post-masters certificates in nursing education family nurse practitioner and emergency nurse practitioner. Our unique PhD in nursing education rounds out our portfolio of programs with a focus on the science of nursing and teaching practices.
