Adjunct Faculty Piano Accompanist (September 2026 May 2027)

Kent Place School is seeking a collaborative pianist for choral accompanying throughout our JPK - 12th-grade school. Ideal candidates should have experience accompanying school choirs in a broad range of musical styles working with conductors in a supportive educational environment. We have excellent grand pianos and a collaborative and engaging music faculty and we anticipate this position will grow over the next few years.

Compensation: $100/hour

Skills

• Excellent sight-reading skills
• Flexibility
• Ability to play and improvise in pop jazz and musical theater styles
• Ability to work from lead sheets and scores
• Knowledge of current treble choral repertoire

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of three years of performance experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate.
• Education: Bachelors degree in performance or in Music Education/Teaching is preferred.
