Job Description:

The Department of Physics in the School of Science Technology and Natural Resources at Wittenberg University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one or both Physics courses.

- PHYS 203 (Second semester calculus based physics (waves optics E&M)) during the Spring 2027 semester which starts on January 11 2027. Responsibilities include teaching in-person lectures and lab. The class has three one hour sessions per week and one 3 hour lab section per week.

- PHYS 207 (Introductory Electronics (emphasis on AC circuits through diodes)) during the first half of the spring 2027 semester which runs January 11-February 26 2027. Responsibilities include in-person lecture/ lab that meets 3 hours twice a week.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or Masters degree in Physics or be near completion of a Ph.D. by January 2027.
  • Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
