Adjunct Faculty Pathologists' Assistant Program

A faculty member with the rank of instructor or above is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting for the Pathologists Assistant (PathA) program. Adjuncts are assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which they has suitable training and experience.

The following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary.

• Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics
• Participate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods) as assigned
• Promote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students needs
• Serve on TOUROCOM committees as assigned: Provide reports budgetary information and other documents) as requested by department chairs) directors and deans
• Advise and mentor students
• Participate in pathologists assistant student admissions interviews

• Masters Degree required
• Doctorate Degree preferred
• Graduate level degree (Masters or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section
• Pathologists Assistant ASCP certification and an active New York State Pathologists Assistant License

• General administrative duties required
• Overall business acumen ethical decision making and relationship management skills required
• Proficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise research techniques instructional design delivery and assessment course management psychometrics/statistics learning theory public speaking effective communication conflict management

• Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
