SUMMARY/SCOPE:
Weare looking for a part-time adjunct faculty member to provide instruction formusic courses to undergraduate students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach an undergraduate course in the School of Music.

Demonstrate effective teachingstrategies by planning and implementing a variety of teaching methods as wellas assessment.

Maintain accurate records anddocuments submit timely reports and be responsive to students.

Records/documents include but are not limited to syllabi and grades.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A masters degree (preferablybut not necessarily in music) is required with at least 18 graduate creditscompleted in music. Teaching experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Thejob is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods oftime while performing office and computer operations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Thisposition is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)that involves teaching in-person classes on campus at Hardin-Simmons Universityin Abilene Texas.

Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
