QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters degree in Education or related field
• Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
• Experience using technology in instruction and assessment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Community College teaching experience
• Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
• Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).

SALARY: $1512.00/credit - $1826.00/credit per credit based on DCE step per the DCE Contract non-benefited.

POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Educational Studies: Business and Professional Studies Division; Haverhill (100 Elliott Street) or Lawrence campuses (45 Franklin Street); MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position

SUMMARY: For Summer 2026 we are seeking an instructor for Introduction to Teaching (EDU101) as part of the CTE Educator initiative with the Greater Lawrence Technical School. This accelerated course will run from June 29 through August 7 2026 and will be offered in a face-to-face format.

We are additionally seeking instructors to join our Adjunct Faculty pool to teach Education and CTE Educator-related courses on an as-needed basis. Classes are typically offered at NECCs Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses during daytime and evening hours as well as online face-to-face and in hybrid formats.

Please note: Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.

REPORTS TO: Dean of Business and Professional Studies

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
• Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements including policies regarding grading deadlines evaluation process and syllabus requirements.
