Adjunct Biology (Nutrition)

The Division of Science and Mathematics at Newman University a mission-driven Catholic liberal arts university invites applicants for an adjunct instructor for theFall2026Semesterto teacha 3-credit hour -person delivery is preferred; however online delivery may be considered for a well-qualified candidate.
TheFall2026 semester begins onAugust 23 2026.

Work Location & Residency Requirement: While this position might include online instruction Newman University is only registered to employ workers in specific states due to state payroll and tax regulations. At this time candidates must physically reside and perform all work within the State of Kansasor one of our pre-approved states (AR AZ CO FL IA IL MN MO OK TX VA or WI). Candidates residing in non-approved states cannot be considered for employment.

Work Performed:

1. Teachundergraduatecourses as assigned in keeping with departmental university and accreditation standards policies and procedures.
2. Meet with the Division Chair a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the course to review syllabus course materials etc.
3. Inform students of their progress by promptly returning assignments quizzes and examinations withappropriate feedback.
4. Submitmid-term and final grades onJenzabarby designated deadlines.
5. UtilizetheCanvasLearning Management System and other technology asappropriate todeliver and enhance the learning experience.

Requirements:

1. MastersDegree inBiology(Doctorate degree preferred) or professional experience related toNutrition.
2. University level online teaching experience.
3. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
