Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuary to assess financial risk and support strategic decision-making through advanced statistical modeling and forecasting. This role is responsible for evaluating risk exposure pricing models and financial outcomes across insurance pension or investment-related products. The ideal candidate has strong quantitative expertise professional actuarial credentials and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to assess risk pricing reserving and financial projections.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends forecast outcomes and support business strategy.
- Perform loss reserving analyses and ensure adequacy of reserves.
- Collaborate with underwriting finance and risk management teams to optimize pricing strategies.
- Prepare actuarial reports presentations and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards of practice.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to evaluate financial risks.
- Support product development through actuarial input on design pricing and profitability.
- Review and validate actuarial assumptions methodologies and models.
- Stay current with industry trends regulatory changes and emerging risks.
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics Finance or a related field.
- Associate (ASA/ACAS) or Fellow (FSA/FCAS) designation from a recognized actuarial body is preferred.
- 48 years of actuarial experience in insurance pensions consulting or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in actuarial modeling tools and programming languages (e.g. Excel VBA R Python or SAS).
- In-depth knowledge of actuarial principles financial mathematics and risk modeling techniques.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
