Job Description
The responsibilities of the Actuarial Analyst III include performing and communicating complex actuarial analyses such as actuarial exhibits pricing data analyses and other tasks as assigned as well as assisting less experienced Actuarial Analysts. This position supports the core actuarial functions (i.e. Pricing reserving modeling etc. with a primary focus in pricing) responsible for ensuring profitability growth and the financial strength of the organization.
Minimal management oversight review and guidance will be required.
This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Applies fundamental actuarial principles in analyzing company and industry data to prepare actuarial analyses
- Prepares summaries of actuarial analyses for distribution to Home Office and Field management other Farm Family departments consultants reinsurers and regulators
- Completes processes to perform and document actuarial analyses promptly and accurately
- Assists less experienced analysts with spreadsheets databases and sources of data used in actuarial analyses
- Prepares for and progresses in the CAS examinations through on-the-job and home study
- Interacts with personnel in all departments of Actuarial Operations
- Provide and request information about items to be included in actuarial analyses such as rate proposals.
- Communicate with regulators to understand state regulations filing requirements and compliance concerns.
- Provide historical experience and data to support annual renewal and provide insight to explain trends
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- A Bachelors degree in mathematics statistics economics or a related field with a strong mathematical background is required.
- The ability to demonstrate sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles and
- Completion of at least 3 CAS exams
- Must be able to operate Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn other computer applications.

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
Pay Ranges:
Omaha: $79000 to $115000
Albany & Chicago: $82000 to $120000
