Activity Therapist Psychiatry and Psychology

Available .75 or .8 FTE.

Functions as an interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family needs. Responsible for coordinating planning delivery and documentation of quality activity therapy programming services to all patients as appropriate to the patients age and developmental level. Works with patients individually and in groups on unit day evening weekend and holiday activities.

Bachelors degree in allied health or related field. Preferred recreation art and/or music therapy experience.

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of activity therapy skills to include music recreation art/creative therapies. Ability to effectively use activity therapy skills with patients. Flexibility of work schedule including days evenings weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills. Leadership problem solving and team building skills. Knowledge of basic improvement concepts and techniques. Previous work experience/internship in behavioral health/chemical dependency preferred.
