Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens adults and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

How youll contribute

The Activities Assistant supports the therapeutic programming and daily operations of the department by facilitating structured activity groups and documenting patient participation and progress. This role works closely with the Activity Therapist to deliver interventions aligned with individualized treatment plans including providing alternative activities when patients are unable to attend groups. The assistant monitors patient responses communicates concerns and contributes feedback to the interdisciplinary team to support effective treatment planning. Responsibilities also include offering age-appropriate activities promoting patient engagement and maintaining consistent communication to ensure quality patient-centered care.

Applicants should have

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelors degree in recreational therapy or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification and Handle with Care within 30 days.

Hourly range: $17.50 $28.75 per hour
