Are you studying Education Psychology Child Development Social Work Recreation or a related field This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children in a structured afterschool program while developing skills that future employers and graduate programs value.

As an Activities Assistant youll work alongside experienced educators while gaining real-world experience in:

• Classroom & behavior management
• Child engagement
• Lesson support
• Leadership & communication
• Time management
• Teamwork

Schedule

• MondayFriday 2:006:00 PM
• Follows the Tarrytown & Irvington school calendars
• Approximately 180 days per school year
• Paid orientation required training and scheduled early dismissal days

What Youll Do

• Support fun enrichment classes including Sports Art STEAM Music & Movement Potpourri and Homework.
• Assist with classroom management and student engagement.
• Set up and clean up activities.
• Serve snack and prepare materials.
• Help create a safe positive and welcoming environment.
• Work alongside a supportive team to deliver an exceptional afterschool experience.
