Our projects include anaerobic digesters biogas-powered electric generation and renewable natural gas DescriptionThe Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the company. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining sound financial practices optimizing accounting workflows and ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills a keen eye for process improvement and a solid understanding of accounting practices relevant to renewable energy Leadership: Supervise mentor and support the accounting team including staff and senior accountants; oversee workflow management training and performance Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting including income statements balance sheets and cash flow Ledger Oversight: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger; review and approve journal entries account reconciliations and -End Close: Lead the monthly quarterly and annual close processes; coordinate timelines and ensure all deadlines are : Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP and company policies; support audit processes and coordinate with internal and external Improvement: Evaluate and enhance accounting processes systems and controls for increased efficiency and & Department Collaboration: Work with other departments including project development and operations to support project-related financial needs and & Forecasting: Assist the Controller with budget preparation forecasting and variance & Incentive Tracking: Support compliance and financial tracking related to government grants carbon credits and renewable energy Reporting: Develop and maintain internal financial dashboards and reports for management & SkillsBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory understanding of GAAP and financial reporting with accounting in the renewable energy construction or project-based sectors with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP NetSuite) and Microsoft analytical organizational and communication ability to lead and develop teams in a dynamic and fast-paced -oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
