Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our accounting team. This position serves as the right hand to the Accounting Manager and plays an important role in maintaining accurate customer accounts posting payments and ensuring timely collections. - Post customer payments accurately and promptly
- Process checks ACH payments credit card transactions and electronic deposits
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and past-due invoices
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Prepare and send customer statements and collection notices
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end closing activities
- Work closely with customers to resolve billing questions professionally
- Support the Accounting Manager with daily accounting functions and special projects
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Perform general administrative and office duties as needed
- Previous Accounts Receivable Accounting Clerk Bookkeeping or related office experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable making collection calls while maintaining professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework is a plus

Required Education:
