Accounts Payable Manager

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas. These include airborne ISR electronic warfare secure communications aerial refueling special air missions aerial firefighting and advanced simulation. In this role you will lead and continuously improve Metreas global Accounts Payable function. You will oversee a team of 5-10 Accounts Payable professionals responsible for processing supplier invoices employee expenses vendor onboarding payment execution and AP reporting across a growing portfolio of international legal entities.

You will be successful if you can build scalable processes establish strong internal controls develop a high-performing team and ensure timely and accurate payment operations while maintaining exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a critical leadership role in supporting Metreas continued global growth and operational excellence.

• Lead coach and develop a team of 5-10 Accounts Payable professionals across multiple geographic regions
• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations for legal entities spanning North America Europe Asia-Pacific and other emerging jurisdictions
• Establish and maintain standardized AP policies procedures and controls while accommodating local regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives focused on automation efficiency internal controls and scalability
• Manage global payment operations and partner closely with Treasury to support payment execution liquidity planning and cash forecasting
• Maintain oversight of vendor onboarding processes banking validations fraud prevention controls and supplier master data governance
• Partner with Accounting Procurement Treasury Tax and operational teams to resolve complex AP issues and improve business processes
• Develop key AP performance metrics including invoice cycle times aged liabilities discount capture exception volumes and payment timeliness
• Develop and maintain global AP standard operating procedures training materials and control narratives

Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field
• 7 years of progressive Accounts Payable and procure-to-pay experience
• 3 years of leadership experience managing AP teams
• Experience supporting multinational or multi-entity organizations
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable controls vendor management and payment processing
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent enterprise platforms
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes in a rapidly growing environment
• Excellent analytical organizational communication and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities while meeting critical deadlines

• Experience implementing AP automation solutions OCR technologies or workflow tools
• Experience managing shared-service or centralized accounting operations

This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available as business needs require.

Approximately 10% domestic and international travel may be required to support process implementations team development integration activities and business operations.
