Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-time Accounts Payable Freight Coordinator your primary responsibility will be processing invoices from Freight Carriers. You will be collaborating directly with Fastenals branches distribution centers logistics departments and external freight service providers to facilitate timely and accurate freight invoice payments and cost allocation. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding training and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
o Analyzing freight invoices to determine the correct expense department and General Ledger coding
o Entering data into Fastenals ERP (PeopleSoft) to process carrier freight payments
o Supporting freight auditing functions
o Resolving Freight Claim Discrepancies and processing freight credits
o Interacting with our branches distribution centers and carriers
o Assisting with digital workflow automation and process optimization
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o 18 years of age or older
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition innovation integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess or are working towards a degree in Accounting Finance Mathematics Statistics or other related education
o Prior accounts payable or customer service work experience
o Prior experience in logistics transportation accounts payable supply chain or a related field

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $35000 - 40000. In addition to base pay this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
