Summary of Job Duties:
Under the guidance of the Department Chair the Program Coordinator collaborates with faculty directors and initiative leads to ensure alignment communication and successful execution of departmental priorities. The role serves as a key connector among faculty staff students alumni and external stakeholders helping elevate the departments overall presence and performance. The position may supervise staff or student workers as needed.
Key Responsibilities include plan coordinate and execute departmental events meetings and programs including faculty events and advisory board activities; assist with graduate program operations and related engagement activities; coordinate logistics timelines communications and follow-up for departmental initiatives and programs; support strategic initiatives led by the Department Chair and faculty directors; serve as a liaison between faculty staff students alumni and external partners; develop and maintain clear professional communications for internal and external audiences; track progress documentation and outcomes related to departmental initiatives; lead LinkedIn and other social media initiatives; and identify opportunities to improve departmental processes engagement and operational effectiveness.
Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to establish and maintain collegial professional and productive working relationships.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from accredited institution of higher education
At least three years of experience in a marketing sales or related environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business from an AACSB accredited institution or a related field
Industry experience in the NWA business community or the U of A
Work experience in marketing event management and/or communication
Experience supervising or leading teams and projects
Proficient or comfort with learning various online platforms such as CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) and social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Instagram)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities(KSAs):
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities independently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate to advanced level skills Microsoft Office Suite
