Accounting & Payroll Specialist

Looking for an exciting career opportunity Met-Con is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting payroll accounting and employee-focused initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implements maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries benefits 401k garnishments taxes and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires terminations and changes to pay rates.
• Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
• Provides assistance to Human Resources as needed.
• Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
• Files payroll taxes weekly quarterly and year-end as well as processing W2s.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Provides assistance to the Accounting Department.
• Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
• Processes company credit card transactions.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation balancing internal control and payroll taxes.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
