JOB OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager supports the Corporate Controller in overseeing corporate accounting activities technical accounting matters and external financial reporting within a privateequitybacked operating environment. This role is responsible for preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements; supporting technical accounting analysis and M&A due diligence; managing debt covenant and compliance reporting; overseeing accounting for capital projects and corporate SG&A functions; and leading the Accounts Payable function.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Essential duties include:

  • Assist the Corporate Controller in the preparation and review of consolidated monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Coordinate and execute corporate components of the financial close process ensuring timely accurate and wellsupported results.

  • Prepare financial statement schedules disclosures and supporting documentation for management reporting lenders auditors and other external stakeholders.

  • Support external audit activities by preparing audit schedules responding to auditor inquiries and maintaining auditready documentation.

  • Assist the Corporate Controller with technical accounting research and documentation related to complex accounting matters including acquisitions divestitures leases capital projects debt arrangements and other nonroutine transactions.

  • Play a key role in financial accounting and operational due diligence related to M&A activity including analysis of historical financial statements qualityofearnings support accounting policy assessments and integration planning.

  • Assist with preparing accounting position memoranda purchase accounting analyses and posttransaction accounting support.

  • Support implementation of new accounting standards and updates to accounting policies and procedures.

  • Prepare debt covenant calculations compliance certificates and related supporting schedules in accordance with credit agreements and lending requirements.

  • Coordinate with Treasury and the Corporate Controller to ensure timely and accurate completion of lender reporting and compliance deliverables.

  • Maintain documentation supporting covenant calculations and debtrelated accounting conclusions.

  • Support accounting for capital projects and fixed assets including constructioninprogress tracking capitalization placedinservice determinations and depreciation.

  • Prepare analyses related to capital expenditures and capital project activity for management review.

  • Partner with Operations Engineering and Construction to ensure capital project activity is properly authorized classified recorded and supported.

  • Oversee accounting and analysis for corporate SG&A departments ensuring expenses are properly classified accrued allocated and reported.

  • Prepare SG&A expense analyses trend reviews and variance explanations to support management review and decisionmaking.

  • Partner with department leaders to resolve accounting questions and ensure accurate cost center reporting.

  • Assist Assistant Controllers with terminallevel financial analysis as needed including revenue and expense review variance analysis and support for crossterminal consistency and comparability.

  • Own and manage all aspects of the accounts payable function including invoice processing payment execution vendor payment maintenance and expense coding.

  • Ensure accounts payable transactions are processed accurately timely and in compliance with Company policies and internal control requirements.

  • Establish and maintain strong AP controls procedures and documentation standards.

  • Lead manage and develop accounts payable staff including workload management training and performance oversight.

  • Partner crossfunctionally to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

  • Support the design execution and maintenance of internal controls over corporate accounting and accounts payable processes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting reporting and AP processes to increase efficiency accuracy and scalability.

  • Assist with documentation and implementation of process improvements system enhancements and standardized procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting

  • CPA certification required

  • 8 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience including Big Four public accounting audit experience (required).

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial statement preparation and technical accounting concepts.

  • Experience preparing or supporting debt covenant calculations and compliance reporting.

  • Experience managing accounts payable operations and related internal controls.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Workday strongly preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance leadership auditors lenders and nonfinance stakeholders.

Candidates must be able to use their hands and fingers for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment. Effective verbal communication and active listening are essential given the roles frequent interaction with others. This position involves sitting for approximately 90% of the workday. Occasionally employees are required to kneel bend push pull lift or twist. Occasionally employees are required to lift or exert up to 10 pounds of force.
