Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations for multiple business entities and ensuring the accuracy integrity and timeliness of financial reporting. This role manages key accounting functions supports the monthly and annual close processes prepares financial analyses and ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies. The Accounting Manager partners with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes strengthen internal controls and provide meaningful financial information that supports business decision-making.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities for multiple business entities.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting including asset capitalization depreciation disposals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare review and analyze financial statements journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with and help coordinate monthly quarterly and year-end financial close activities ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support financial due diligence activities for acquisitions integrations or other strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP regulatory requirements and internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Develop implement and maintain effective accounting processes internal controls and system improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare financial reports key performance indicators (KPIs) and other management reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with annual financial statement audits and coordinate with external auditors by providing requested schedules and documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance operations legal and other departments to support business initiatives and resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Stay current on accounting standards regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required.
  • CPA certification or advanced degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience preparing financial statements reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
