Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time 1520 hours per week

What Youll Do

As an Accounting Intern youll support the Finance Department with a variety of accounting and financial responsibilities including:

• Compile prepare and transmit bank deposits.

• Compile and import fixed asset data files while maintaining fixed asset ledgers.

• Maintain the cash management file including daily banking transactions.

• Assist with preparing financial reports accounting records and account reconciliations.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Gather documentation and coordinate responses for financial statement audits and New York State OMIG audits.

• Assist with ad hoc financial reports analyses and special projects as assigned.

What Were Looking For

Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Completion of at least two years of college coursework.

• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
