What Youll Do
- Review verify and process invoices for collection.
- Prepare and apply customer payments accurately to customer accounts.
- Maintain accounts receivable records and customer files.
- Review customer accounts and investigate payment and nonpayment discrepancies.
- Process credit memos and account adjustments to maintain an accurate aging report.
- Reconcile customer statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status invoice concerns account balances and other inquiries.
- Assist with weekly accounts receivable and cash reports and schedules.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes and financial audits.
- Work with other departments to support accurate financial operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.
- Perform additional accounting duties as needed to support the Finance Department.
Education & Experience
- One to three years of accounts receivable collections bookkeeping or related accounting experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate degree or coursework in accounting finance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail organization and problem-solving skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Outlook and standard office applications.
- Experience using accounting or financial software preferred.
- Ability to manage confidential financial and customer information appropriately.
