The Accounting Analyst compiles classifies records verifies and maintains data while performing a variety of general accounting tasks including accounts reconciliation and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Accounting oversight and preparation of monthly closings for accruals.
  • Work closely with Account Payable team to maintain and analyze the necessary invoices and PO document to assist month end close
  • Working closely with Branch Managers to reconcile inventory purchase records in CPR
  • Researches costs of lost or damaged inventory items
  • Providing management with weekly reports specifying and comparing factors affecting cost and quantity variances
  • Preparation of month-end accrual journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Performing general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
  • Implement and work with Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
  • Assisting with the annual audit process including preparation of various audit support requests
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in accounting and equivalent experience/background with a minimum of 2 years of experience in finance/accounting support role
  • Solid windows operating system experience or equivalent application systems experience
  • SAP or Oracle knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Familiarity with cost accounting procedures desirable
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively set priorities manage multiple tasks and deadlines and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently demonstrate initiative and exercise judgment in fast paced and changing environment;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude while completing time sensitive projects
  • Ability to professionally document processes and procedures
  • Team player focused on the goals and results of the team with a high level of initiative
  • Solid interpersonal verbal and written communications skills
  • MBA or CPA is a plus
