The Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations for Boscovs Travel working across many areas of the accounting field including but not limited to accounts receivable accounts payable and bank reconciliations. The right candidate is a self-starter who is proficient in Excel and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts receivable posting electronic payments from clients and vendors and following up on outstanding balances.
• Process and manage accounts payable including verifying invoices and preparing payments to vendors electronically
• Support internal and external audits.
• Help ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or a related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with accounting software is helpful.
• Travel agency knowledge helpful.
