Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is adding an Accountantto our team. This is onsite role based at our manufacturing facility located in Mason City Iowa.

What would you do as our Accountant

In this role you will help to support all day-to-day accounting planning reportingsystemsand controls to accurately reflect theplantfinances. You will help to prepare and review information to perform monthly financial statements and costing to ensure the financial integrity of the plants operations.

You would also:

  • Prepare financial information analysis and costing to support the team

  • Assistintimelycompletion of month-end financial close

  • Provideaccuratepreparation of journal entries to record manufacturing cost and inventory valuations

  • Prepare and analyze various reports asrequiredor directed relating to the financial performance of the manufacturing efforts

  • Perform special cost analyses as requested by management

  • Participate in preparing recurring estimates of revenue and expenses

  • Recommend modifications to improve cost accounting techniques and methods

  • Develop definitions and criteriaregardingcost and budget philosophy for the proper definition andaccuratetracking of manufacturing costs

  • Cross train on various other areas within the accounting department

  • Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment

  • Assure compliance with federal state local and corporate policies regulations AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

  • Other projects and assignments as needed

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting

  • 3 - 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and understanding of interrelationships of accounting payablespayrolland data processing

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounting and financial statement preparation methods

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines

  • Comfortable utilizing Excel (advanced skills) Accountingsystemsand an ERP system

  • Previousworking knowledge of SAP is a plus
