What you can expect to work on
Senior Accountant Accounting Operations is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely execution of the companys day-to-day accounting activities and preparation of management reports.
- The role is primarily focused on accounting operations and financial close execution. The position will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller in support of department and company goals.
- The Accountant position serves as an experienced accounting resource within the Finance team and will perform and review accounting activities related to the general ledger account reconciliations accounts receivable fixed assets month-end close financial reporting and financial analysis.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience
- 2 - 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Experience with the following:
- General ledger accounting
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations & month-end close
- Supporting external audits
- Extracting and analyzing large amounts of data

Great to have
- 6 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- CPA designation
- Experience with:
- Inventory or cost accounting
- Manufacturing environment
Other things to know
- Full-time position
- The companys standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
- This position will have regular working hours Monday - Friday within the standard operating hours
- There is an expectation of adjusting working hours outside the standard hours to meet operational requirements as needed
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
