We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant III to support complex accounting functions maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies internal controls and applicable accounting standards. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who can work independently analyze financial data prepare reports and partner with cross-functional teams to support business decisions.

As an Accountant you will:

• Prepare review and maintain accurate general ledger entries account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial transactions variances costs revenue commitments and obligations to identify trends discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports including balance sheets profit and loss statements schedules and management reports.
• Support month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies reconciling items invoice issues and financial reporting questions.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules documentation and responses to auditor requests.
• Maintain and improve internal controls accounting procedures and process documentation.
• Partner with internal departments to gather financial data explain results and support budgeting forecasting and operational decision-making.
• May review the work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures and best practices.
• Perform additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.

The ideal Accountant candidate will have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.
• Four or more years of progressive accounting experience preferably in a corporate public accounting government nonprofit or high-volume operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles financial reporting general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices.
• Experience preparing journal entries financial statements reconciliations audit schedules and variance analyses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Pay Rate: $40 - $43 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
