Job Summary
Our client in the Agricultural industry is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team based in Kirkwood Eastern Cape.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance or a related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a financial accounting role preferably within agriculture fruit exports or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with foreign currency transactions and banking processes will be advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and exposure to ERP/accounting systems such as Syspro and QX.
- Oversee the configuration and administration of Citrus time pools within internal systems.
- Prepare and process producer payments and remittance statements accurately and timeously.
- Reconcile sales commission and general ledger accounts.
- Process commercial invoices and manage balance sheet control accounts.
- Assist with cash flow planning and foreign exchange transaction monitoring.
- Supervise foreign currency bank accounts and related currency contracts.
- Administer debtors and creditors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the companys operational and financial systems relevant to citrus packing and export activities.
- Monitor and interpret overseas market performance to support financial planning and reporting.
