Position Summary
The Accountant will support the accounting and finance functions for one or more manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for month-end close activities account reconciliations inventory accounting payroll processing accounts payable and financial reporting support. This is a newly created position offering strong long-term growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly close activities for assigned manufacturing facilities.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
Review inventory transactions and analyze variances.
Process weekly payroll through ADP Paychex or similar payroll platforms.
Manage accounts payable processes including invoice entry three-way matching approvals and payment runs.
Maintain accurate vendor invoice records within the ERP system.
Assist with year-end close and external audit support.
Perform cash application pricing updates and general ledger activities.
Support process improvement initiatives and special projects.
Provide accounting support to additional facilities as needed.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
0 4 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Lookups.
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a collaborative team-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems and general ledger accounting.
Payroll processing experience using ADP Paychex or similar systems.
Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience.
Inventory accounting and variance analysis experience.
Working Conditions
Full-time on-site role.
Minimal travel required.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
