Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to analyze financial information prepare reports and ensure accuracy in financial processes. This role will play a key part in supporting month-end close maintaining financial integrity and collaborating cross-functionally to improve accounting operations.
Work Location: Candidate must be located and work from our corporate office in Fargo ND
Core Responsibilities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements including accruals and expense reviews
- Research and resolve variances posting errors and unusual trends in financial data
- Support audit preparation and year-end workpapers
- Collaborate with departments to provide accounting guidance on transactions projects and system updates
- Assist with daily accounting tasks such as journal entries check runs and vendor settlements
- Contribute to process improvements system implementations and testing efforts
- Participate in special projects (e.g. fixed assets sales tax incentive programs)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (or related field)
- 24 years of accounting experience
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail with strong accuracy in financial work
- Ability to identify issues research solutions and recommend improvements
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
