Basic Job Functions:
Nucor is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) Assisting with the month end close procedures (2) Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (3) Preparing reviewing and submitting financial reporting to divisions and Corporate (4) Maintaining and continuously improving the internal control is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and Teams
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years experience in an accounting-related role
Experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable function
Experience working with Oracle
