The Sales Account Manager will drive commercial success by optimizing the operational backbone of the sales this role you will ensure seamless execution across logistics order management and financial processes directly impacting customer satisfaction revenue realization and margin protection. To succeed in this role the employee must be a proactive problem solver skilled in cross-functional collaboration and capable of translating operational insights into strategic improvements. This position is part of our Protein Sales team for North America.
- Enable assigned sales team through effective execution of key processes and sales activation strategies including coordination of logistics buyer engagement and carrier planning to ensure timely deliveries maximize load efficiency and mitigate supply chain risks through strategic initiatives.
- Process customer orders while driving improvements in order fill rate and on-time delivery performance partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of sales processes including oversight of backup customer accounts as needed.
- Gather and communicate channel market customer or competitive information and intelligence and interact with team on strategy and pricing functions
- Manage processes by serving as a subject matter authority to resolve and coordinate the investigation of claims and disputes ensuring effective execution of sales processes for medium to large accounts. Proactively address routine challenges to meet customer requirements.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Proven negotiation and selling skills and experience
- Microsoft Office package proficiency
- SAP experience.
- Experience in customer facing roles
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and credit terminology.
- Experience with reporting data analytics and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making
