Help needed in Fine Arts and History (2 positions available)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Academic Coach to support high school students in building strong study skills organization time management and academic confidence. This role focuses on helping students set goals develop effective learning strategies and improve performance across subjects.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet once a week in small groups with students from January to April.
• Teach and reinforce study skills note-taking test preparation and organization techniques
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with teachers counselors and parents
• Motivate students and help them develop self-advocacy and growth-mindset habits
• Maintain accurate records of sessions and student goals
• Competitions as needed. Most are local. State is at Purdue University (if qualifying).

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred (education counseling or related field)
• Experience working with high school students in tutoring mentoring coaching or teaching roles
• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
• Patience empathy and the ability to connect with teens
• Familiarity with academic support strategies and secondary curriculum is a plus
