Academic Services Manager Counseling Department

The Academic Services Manager supports the Counseling Department within the School of Psychology and Counseling by managing daily academic operations student services accreditation-related processes and departmental administration. This role serves as the primary point of contact for students faculty and university personnel while coordinating academic records departmental events course scheduling and administrative support for the departments masters doctoral and certificate programs.

Essential duties:

• Serve as the primary contact for students faculty and university personnel regarding academic processes policies and program support.
• Manage academic operations including scheduling records compliance tracking and data reporting.
• Oversee all phases of the dissertation process from contract setup to final ProQuest submission.
• Maintain program assessment retention and accreditation records to support CACREP compliance.
• Coordinate department events faculty meetings calendars and logistical support for travel and guest speakers.
• Coordinate hiring and administrative processes for GAs TRAs adjunct faculty dissertation readers and small-group leaders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required
• Minimum one year of administrative experience preferably in higher education

Candidates must have:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn systems like Banner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational time management and problem-solving skills
• Discretion with sensitive or confidential information
