Academic Facilitator MCH

LOCATION: Maumelle Charter High School

Academics Plus Charter Schools Inc. (APCSI) is seeking an innovative and qualified Academic Facilitator to join our team.

Is responsible for conducting demonstration lessons and models strategies and teaching techniques provides intensive instructional support and mentoring to new teachers. Collaborates with the Principal to plan and conduct staff development programs to promote instructional and programmatic improvements provides professional development to teachers in the use of selected instructional programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree from accredited university

Meets Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) Standards

4 Years successful teaching experience

Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned perferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Working in partnership with the school Principal to provide instructionally-related services to the school
2. Disseminates information pertinent to professional growth curriculum trends student activities and special awards to enhance student achievement
3. Participates and provides professional development opportunities for teachers in the use of data in the classroom
4. Participate with the principal in the formal observation and evaluation of teachers and assisting in the preparation and monitoring of assistance plans.
5. Collaborates with teachers to self-assess and identify a focus of professional growth in instruction
6. Works closely with school leadership team to coordinate curriculum instruction assessment professional development resources interventions and partners with parents and/or community
7. Reviews data with leadership team to identify teacher and student needs
8. Work the entire school day and all other hours scheduled including those on nights early mornings and weekends
9. Communicate positively with students parents visitors and staff.
10. Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writing
11. Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all times
12. Other duties as assigned by principals.
