Job Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Academic Cytopathologist for a tenure-track/tenured fixed-term or variable track position at the rank of Assistant Associate or Full Professor. We are a subspecialized Anatomic Pathology division and preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training and/or expertise in Cytopathology. Those who are willing to provide additional coverage in Head and Neck Pathology Thoracic Pathology Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and/or other Surgical Pathology Sub-specialty are also encouraged to apply. Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and effective communication with an active clinical care team that provides statewide integrated care is required. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center with opportunities to collaborate with a robust array of basic translational and clinical addition to teaching clinical residents and fellows opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine Graduate School and Undergraduate School.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in Cytopathology is strongly preferred.
