PAY RATE: $40.00/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Assembles disassembles and modifies systems by changing removing replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repairs faulty components.

  • Performs validation or verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (repairs test results modifications inspection results).

  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Performs aircraft bench or flight line operational testing and troubleshooting using complex test instruments (high frequency pulse generators frequency synthesizers distortion analyzers computer control equipment).

  • Performs assembly installation check-out operational testing and modification of wire bundles in aircraft testing development and modification.

  • Interprets standard work instructions charts tables blueprints wire diagrams formulas sketches verbal and electronic orders and job layouts.

  • Diagnoses and corrects malfunctions in assembly processes using precision measuring instruments gauges and tools.

  • Applies knowledge of aircraft avionics systems including Comm Nav Data Links Weapons Radar and Electronic Warfare on 747 platforms.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

  • Experience with 747 platforms.

  • Experience with Aircraft Avionics Systems such as Comm Nav Data Links Weapons Radar Electronic Warfare.

  • 9 years of experience in applied mathematics statistics or related field.

  • 9 years working with schematics specifications assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.

  • 9 years of experience with aircraft computer systems and basic office software.

  • Ability to ascend and descend vertical work ladders work in confined spaces and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.

  • Familiarity with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out or Tag systems applications for safe working environment.

  • High school diploma or GED with typically 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
