Job Summary

SummaryAs a member of the preconstruction team this role develops estimates at all project phases including conceptual parametric schematic design development and construction documents. Responsibilities also include active participation in hard bid effortssoliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals analyzing scopes of work and completing bid forms. The position requires familiarity with a variety of project delivery methods including Construction Manager Multi-Prime Lease-Leaseback Design-Build and Hard FunctionsEstimatingPerforms precise and timely quantity takeoffs and estimates in accordance with company standards and formatting with a thorough understanding of CSI/MasterFormat division systems across all stages of project plans and specifications for completeness able to clearly convey inaccurate information to design team and our in clear concise and professional communication with team members clients and to work solo or in team and facilitates project pre-estimate as a subject matter expert during estimate reconciliations with third-party estimators design teams and owners with comprehensive knowledge of project documents and plan deficiencies scope gaps and identifies appropriate a solid understanding of building design site improvements building systems and construction bid solicitation software and participates in call campaigns to trade partners subcontractors and and utilizes time management for takeoff in all computer software programs used in preconstruction with particular emphasis on estimating software (for example Beck Destini Estimator Bluebeam Excel BuildingConnected Solicitation Software).Constantly strives to improve individual capabilities performance and expand knowledge of construction technologies systems and to Chief Customer RelationsBuilds effective relationships with clients design teams subcontractors suppliers and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the clients participates in industry client and community relations to enhance company Leadership and Employee DevelopmentPromotes and demonstrates our people-first as a role model and promotes professional in personal career development through on-the-job training attends preconstruction/operations classroom training programs participates in software training seminars and assists in the development of the ConditionsThis position is based in the office with occasional remote work approved by company assigned to Santa Ana CA or Folsom CA office this position will require occasional travel to San Diego main meetings/travel out of the office may Experience and KnowledgeA minimum of 2 years of estimating experience required; or a B.S. in Construction Management Engineer or related field combined with a minimum of 2 years of estimating in Masterformat 02- computer skills include the ability to use estimating software word processing spread sheets Teams and good organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication to develop new skills and knowledge and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company its values and the employees while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding client requirements and well in an office setting understands office decorum and abides by company dress proficiency using a computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email internet and Microsoft products (e.g. Word Excel Office Outlook).The annual base compensation range for Estimator II is $90000.00 - $115000.00 a yearThis is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus incentive or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Companys sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole discretion consistent with the law and any applicable plan documents.
